KELSEY- THE ALLEN FARMHAUS
A NEW BRAUNFELS BRIDAL SESSION
Ooo Bridal Sessions! One of my favorite parts of getting beautiful images of the bride without the busyness of an actual wedding day. So what is a bridal session?
Glad you asked!
A Bridal Session is a Pre- wedding time sometimes post when a bride gets to wear her wedding dress, get hair and make up done, bouquet, and anything else she'd like to incorporate into her portraits. These are portraits that can be taken indoor or outdoor, they can be done at the wedding venue, or a new location. The options are endless! Kelsey, for example, found this to be an amazing opportunity to bring her "'til death" engraved hat and her fringe jacket. (check out her bridal session below!) Generally, these portraits are perfect to display at the wedding in the reception entrance along with engagement photos or by the guestbook.
So why have a bridal session?
Reasons to have a bridal session
- Try on your wedding dress. It is the perfect opportunity to simply wear your wedding dress and shoes more than once and make sure that everything fits perfectly. Plus, you'll be able to see how comfortable you'll be on your wedding day and let's face it. Why wouldn't you want another chance to wear that dress?!
- Make sure you LOVE your hair and make up. For Brides that haven't had a chance to try out their wedding hair and make up, this is the chance! This time is perfect to test drive that hair and make sure that you love it. It gives you the opportunity to see how your hair will act with a little wind and how long it stays up. It's also the perfect time to see how much you love your make up.
- Flowers trial. Just like you want to try out your hair and make up, you also want to LOVE your bridal bouquet. If there are any last minute changes you'd like to talk to your florist about, now is the time to do it. Plus... it's always good to get to know your vendors more and work with them before your wedding.
- Scope out the venue... or a new adventurous location. Many photographers love on location bridal sessions because it's a great opportunity to check out and get familiar or re-familiarized with the venue. A lot of brides find this an ideal time getting comfortable at the venue. However, another option is to find a new sometimes more adventurous location... the options are endless!
- Get to know, love, and work with your photogapher. This is my favorite and why I love bridals so much. When couples have destination engagement photos or they opt out of engagement photos, this is my time to get to know the bride and spend some real time together before the wedding day. Another reason why: it's FUN! and you get the chance to get comfortable with posing and movement with your dress and your bridal bouquet. It's an opportunity to be stress free during portraits.
Alright, brides-to-be, check with your photographer to schedule your bridal session if you haven't already done so! I hope you found this to be helpful and if you're still looking for your photographer, I'd love to chat! Please fill out the contact form by following the link below.
